2014–2019 Production company, London · Founder and director · Vault Festival, Bold Tendencies, Merge Festival, Better Bankside, Pete the Monkey Festival, Houghton Festival, Arcola Theatre
I started Robin Linde Productions to make my own work. The company existed to initiate projects, bring the right people together for each one, and develop stories further than a single performance.

Coming from acting, and from running a theatre festival at The Nursery Theatre in Southwark, I became interested in interactive, immersive and site-specific work, preferably with a sense of comedy or absurdism. Over five years I was responsible for financing, partners, locations, publicity and audience.

The Caravan Theatre, 2015–2019
A portable theatre for ten people at a time, with an interior designed by Sijben Rosa. Toured festivals and unexpected places.
Time To Be Late, 2016–2018
Immersive pop-up performances along Blackfriars Road for Merge Festival, drawing on the history and characters of Southwark. Part of the festival three years running. Written and directed by Jonathan Peck and Robin Steegman.
All Boxed Up, 2018
Vault Festival, London. A surreal dark comedy set at an advertising executive’s wake, where his widow leads the audience through forty years in the golden age of advertising and asks what is left of a woman who has reinvented herself that many times. Written by Sammy Kissen, directed by David Kirkbride. Producer and performer.
Broken Meats, 2017
A short film initiated by Robin Linde Productions, shot in Terry’s Cafe near London Bridge. Two mothers meet by chance and end up talking about whether you can be a good woman if you might be a bad mother. The story began as a stage play by Jodi Gray, written after she noticed how unsettling she found the absence of the mothers in King Lear. Directed by Sam Phillips, with Chloe Pirrie and Robin Steegman.
Caravantomime, 2017
An anti-pantomime created for The Caravan Theatre, initiated by Better Bankside.
Slapstick Sports Day, 2017
A revival of the historic Borough Market sports day, with Charlie Chaplin look-alikes and races the audience took part in.
On the Line, 2016
A scripted production with a professional cast, music and a strong interactive element, set around the miners’ strike and the Thatcher years. Arcola Theatre, Ivy House and Platform Southwark during Merge Festival.
Demonstration Gone Wrong, 2016
A site-specific performance in the great hall of Borough Market, where two chefs presented their dishes and their collaboration fell apart. Written and directed with Jonathan Peck.
Sophocles 497/496 BC – 2015
Newly commissioned monologues drawing parallels between Sophocles’ Greece and the present, performed on the sixth floor of a car park at Bold Tendencies.
In 2019 I closed the company and sold The Caravan Theatre to Small Truth Theatre, who still run it today.
