It is Big Tony’s wake, and we have all come to celebrate his life and his triumphs. Mr Kipling cakes on tap, the crème de la crème of the commercial universe in attendance, and his widow at the centre of it, ready to walk us through forty years in the golden age of advertising.

She was never a star herself. She was something more useful: a survivor and a supreme mistress of reinvention, who hitchhiked her way to the high life. But the era of mascots, jingles and sugary cereals is ending, and her protector is gone. What is left for a widowed chameleon? Can she stay relevant, and at what cost?

A surreal piece where memoir meets film noir.

“A beautifully surreal and dark take on the ridiculousness that is advertising culture, deftly delivered.” — audience member
