And then there was BUNDAY.
May 2020
When most people had to stay at home, we delivered 595 cinnamon buns in 3 different cities (Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Utrecht). We made 102 delivery stops and created 7 ‘Sunday Bundays’.
It was the perfect opportunity to deliver some joy (buns) and celebrate a sense of community.
Combining my love for cinnamon buns, baking and cycling.
While most businesses were temporarily closed due to the Covid-19 virus, I got to explore a city where I had recently moved to and make new friends.
There was late-night baking, early morning baking and baking in the glorious Auberge Jean & Marie, Amsterdam.
Some orders became a weekly ritual, some were complete surprises, ordered for parents and/or friends from people living far away.
There was intrigue from people passing in cars, there was confusion from a few Deliveroo boys.
Thanks a million again and again to those who ordered, supported, followed and shared!
